This rating has been stable over the past 12 months. Management is inconsistent and plays favorites. Rules apply to most, but not to all employees. Favorites are placed in best positions and kept there despite poor performance, including tardiness, lack of reporting as everyone else is subjected to. Work hours are long and responsibilities from all departments role down hill to sales staff. Marketing, production, construction, etc, sales is held responsible and often blamed.

We have purchased a new build home from Richmond American. Richmond has failed to keep up with their warranty agreement by servicing the house after our "30 day" walkthrough. Richmond has recycled employees and each time they lose someone or move someone, our repairs get lost in the mix. I have escalated to the superintendent of the house build, asking for their corporate office number or bosses' phone number and the superintendent told me he didn't have time to answer my request.

Kate with Richmond was excellent during the entire process. She was available at any time and got back to us with the info we needed in a timely manner. After Close don't expect a whole lot of help or contact from the builder. There are a large number of issues that we pointed out prior to closing. They fixed some of them but once we closed, it is difficult to get any help to finish up with the issues.
